What phone for workforce....

What you fail to mention is that almost all the malware is apps that have been side loaded.

Of all the mobile malware threats that F-Secure found last year, only 0.1% came from Google Play, the official app store where Android users mostly go to get their app fixes.

The amount of people who actual sideload apps or know what sideloading means is so small that this really isn't an issue. And users also takes all fault if they are sideloading apps.

He's a programmer so knows what he's doing on has only ever gone online banking on his nexus 10, they got his username & password, the only thing that stopped them was the Memorable info password that asks for certain letters, like 2,6,10. They phoned Lloyds to try to reset it.

How can you even be sure it was due too the App, given the data is sent over HTTPS and is encrypted, no differently then it works on the website or any other app. It could have easily been a compromised WiFi network, given that it was a Nexus 10.

If there was a real security issue with Android I doubt everyone would be making banking apps for it.

Either way everyone in my family banks on their Android devices, barring me due to rooting my device. Not once has anyone had issues, so at the end of the way it is simple anecdotal evidence and pretty meaningless.

Meraki is indeed, first rate for what it is. I'm a big user of airwatch due to re-seller requirement but for 50 it's overkill.

The kitkat update breaks Exchange activesynch support does it not... An issue for the highly recommended Moto G for sure when all the users update them as prompted. Is there a fix yet ? Bizarrely, Google don't seem to think it is a priority from what I read.

I just bought a refurb blackberry 9720 from ebay for £75. I currently have a 8520 that i get free from work with free o2 sim to use for personal calls as well. I asked work if they plan to install bes 10 and they had no plans at the moment. I was getting tired of having a phone without a decent google maps and 8520 is only 2g ffs. If the phone is in good condition then i think i got a bargain. I like the longer battery life and the keyboard for typing out long emails on the move. I have an android nexus 7 at home so don't realy want an expensive android phone.

The 9720 works perfect for that, has a 5mpx camera for work shots of cabinets and things like that. The iphone can not even attach an image as an attachment to an email. I support iphone and android and blackberry and i find blackberry the best to administer, but it requires a bes 5/10 as wouldn't recommend on active sync.

The best hardware i think is still the nokia although the Motorola and htc are good as well, never been a fan of samsung, if only nokia made android devices as i just don't like that windows platform for some reason, probably because of my hate for windows 8.

I also think the 9720 could do with a 1ghz cpu and 1gb ram and longer battery.

Which is almost exactly what the BB9900 has... why didn't you buy that?

BBOS7 is good for emailing/texting/calling. BB10 is a massive leap forward and is a wondefully productive OS.

The q20 that is due late this year should be a dream as a work phone; the power and flexibility of OS10 with a hardware trackpad plus call buttons.
