What phones are coming out over the next few months?

I'm very curious to know how well the GPU performs compared to the Mali 400MP/Adreno 320/Tegra 3 (am I forgetting any other ARM GPUs :p?) since it's their own design.

General GLBenchmark 2.5 results at native 720p.

Last gen
Galaxy Nexus: (SGX540): 7fps

Current gen
LG 4X/One X (Tegra 3): ~12fps
SGS3 (Mali400MP4): 14fps
iPhone 4S (SGX543MP2): 14fps (approx)
One XL (Adreno 225): 20fps
Huawei U9510 (Immersion 16): 20fps

Next gen
Xiaomi MI 2 (Adreno 320): 35fps
OMAP 5: ~35fps
Apple A5X: ~34fps
PS Vita: ~32fps
Tegra 4: ??
Exynos 5: ??

This confirms the early Xiaomi MI 2/LG results (It should get faster with better LPDDR3 memory, drivers etc)

Hopefully the new iPhone will get this significant performance jump and openGL ES 3.0 compatibility, shame Samsung decided to milk the old GPU for another gen :(
Edit:
It could be a great opportunity for Nokia, HTC etc...

Yeah, we're probably looking at the following new Nexus phones in October/November:

  • Sony Xperia Nexus
  • LG Optimus Nexus
  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus II

I'm gonna wait and see which one eats small children for dinner and buy it. Current high end hardware is nice but you really cannot beat stock JB.

Looking forward to these (and who ever the other 2 Nexus phones are from!!), but it won't be 'stock JB' it'll be 'Naked KLP'

it's all the 5's... 5x Nexus Phones, running Android 5.x (Keylime Pie) released on (or around) 5th Birthday of Android (5th November 2012)...

Does true HD mean 1080p? It's not 'full' HD which makes me question it but I'm hoping it's something more than 720p? If 4.3" phones can do 720p, you'd expect 1600*900 on these bigger ones, surely?

Ah just re-read a 4X review and it's likely the same 720p panel. *sigh*

Is anyone other than Sony due a 720p 4.3" screen? Nobody's expecting quad core Sony phones by the sound of things

It's 1280x768, so it's 720p with some black bars if you're watching things on it.

But this looks like a powerhouse of a phone, quad core Krait with Adreno 320 combined with 2gb RAM. Now if a 3rd party ROM like Cyanogenmod supports this device (Since LG is poor for software support), I'll be really tempted to buy this phone...
