Some short testing of Dark Pro 3200mhz 8Pack edition on MSI Pro Carbon. Will let mem test run 3333mhz over night. Very easy to OC. Latest Bios. Enable XMP to run 3200mhz. To run 3333mhz simply set XMP then 3333mhz and I put 1.4v DRAM although this may not be necessary.

Hi @8 Pack
I have the R7 1700, MSI x370 Gaming plus Motherboard and I have given up on my Corsiar 3200 lpx v5.39 hynix ram (To many reboots @ the default speed) and bought your *pack Team group dark pro 3200 kit.
I see above that you have this RAM running at 3333 have you tried any higher memory speeds or better timings with this motherboard or any MIS x370 motherboard.

I trying for the fastest most stable speed.

No. I just tried XMP then OC to 3333mhz. I guess 3466 C16-16-16 should be fine if you wish to push higher. But at this kinda speed IMC/ cache quality of the CPU really come into play.

I ended up with 16GB of: GEIL EVO X Model: GAEXY416GB3200C16ADC

16-18-18-36

This is an AMD/Ryzen Specific memory set so I know it will run 3200 as long as the IMC is up to the task on the chip.

Only downside is timings are not the greatest, but it is apparently Samsung B-die so hopefully can tighten those up. I have seen some tests where it appears slow in some tests ('Efficiency Tests' apparently), but runs pretty good in others, so I'm hoping the places that 3200Mhz helps Ryzen will not be the places that these efficiency tests show a weakness.

Obviously this kit has nothing on the 8Pack Team Dark Pro 'Ripped Egg White' Edition.

Thanks very much 8Pack! Seals the deal for me. Did you have enough sticks to try 32GB, if so, how did that play out with this stuff?

Will just say I grabbed the 8pack 3200MHz kit on offer this week after pondering and worrying about the RAM issues with Ryzen. On an MSI Tomahawk B350. Set it to XMP profile 1 in bios and completely stable at 3200MHz with a Ryzen 7. Understand it can probably go faster but I don't need it and just wanted that 'sweet spot' without the hassle. So well done and alleviated the concerns I had about possible issues for my first build in years :)

Yeah those will work fine. Two kits are needed for quad channel..I showed on my TR video the performance difference in quad compared to dual.

On TR most cpu can't run 3600 just so your aware because the Imc / cache is not able to clock so high stable. With those dimms c16 3600 easy if your cpu is capable.
