What razor?

Thanks for the replies guys, I've tried other razors in the past such as Mach 3's and stuff and just find them all to be more or less the same, light flimsy things that don't actually shave very well.

Really got my mind set on a Merkur now, quite glad to see that there is still a fair amount of choice in their range for my price, going to do a bit more reading and hopefully order tomorrow :)

In the past I've never used a brush so I don't really know what to look for, suggestions/criteria? :)
 
TBh i use the 3 blade Gilette disposables and I've had no problems. I do use natural Sourse Mint and tea tree gel though, cos it smells nice and I get a slight tingly feeling from it too!
 
Brushes come in 2 flavours really...boar and badger

i use a semogue boar most of the time cos when broken in and it does take a while it does the job well..especially for the woolfat i predominately use....now badger is another thing vulfix 404 will do the job...simpson b1 will do it with more style..there are lots

just a ps...i do own merkur myself a chrome futur...imho the best out of the range..for the price...but for a smooth shave EJ89l is the way to go
