Ended up buying a pair of water-cooled GTX 295s on a whim. Still not got around to finishing the dual socket-604 build so these would go well in there!

Should be able to run some pretty modern games on what is essentially a P4 :p
If you're interested in a pre-build system socket 604, I got a Dell Workstation 450.

So the board (the main reason I went out there) did a little pop from a vrm (I think?) when I tried it. The caps all look good. The Thermal take 430Watt PSU had a bulging cap so I'm not going to bother with it. The blue MX440 has a bulging cap, but the 4600 works yay!

The board came with an Athlon 64 X2 4200 which hopefully lives. I think mine is a 3800.

I also quite like the enormous and passive thermaltake Sonic Tower CPU cooler that comes with a whole load of mounts. Might try that out!

That is terrible!

Also it is his problem, your deal is with him. He paid hermes not you. Should be easy money back especially with that message being sent.

Completely ignored since my reply on the 8th. Can’t ask eBay to step in until the 13th, but don’t expect a response from the seller by then.

I stand corrected. The seller responded overnight with an incredible generous "partial refund" of £5. The cards cost me £59.99 including postage.

I finally gave the ti 4600 a good test and it is fine, if a little loud. It scored 11,375 points on 3DMark 2001 with a slow Sempron 1.6GHz CPU. Well, I say slow but I keep forgetting this GPU launched in Feb 2002 so it's probably not a bad match.

Very nice! Full refund? Did the other one end up working?
Never even tested it (lot of effort to go plumbing in a watercooling loop for a card that I might have to send back). Full refund including return postage, so the seller is not only having to refund, but is now down on the sale, and has negative feedback to boot (as he only had 3 feedback as a buyer, my one feedback as a seller took him to 75% in one hit!)
