Yeah, I'm quite surprised too. Would have through most would have downgraded to vista or 7 by now.

and so far only one mac and one Linux user which is odd.

because it has a 5650 which uses 1gb dedicated plus some of the onboard for its hyper memory, quite why it needs to steal system memory when it has dedicated onboard I don't know... Either way its my work machine so as long as it works I am happy.
 
I am running:

Intel Q6600 G0 revision (from the first day they were available from OCUK)
4GB OCZ Platinum 1066mhz DDR2
Gigabyte SuperOC GTX470
Seagate 500gb Boot drive
Lots of other drives to make up the other 6TB of space.
 
I use my laptop at work now so:

Dell Vostro 3500
Intel Core i5-450M (2.4 GHz)
4 GB RAM (~192 MB used for Intel HD Graphics)
Windows 7 Professional x64
320 GB HDD
