Simple as can be:

What ive got - Logitech X-540s
- Onboard sound off of my asus mobo

what do you guys suggest? i dont really have a price range, i'll pay for something if its worth it. I dont however, feel like going to of the range, more £100 and it better be damn worth it

thanks in advance

Asus D2X would be a lot better than onboard sound and has a decent price.

I just got my Titanium HD, and nearly ended up completely deaf from plugging my headphones in with all the volumes set to full as they needed to be with my onboard before.

I hear a lot more stuff now, much more bass and ambient sound that I couldnt hear before, music and youtube videos are similarly boosted, and did I mention how unsafely loud my heaphones will go now? :p

It is rather pricey though and is really just a headphones + recording card and I dont think it will work with your speakers, although the software has headphones, 2.1 and 5.1 setups available, I have no idea how to connect 5.1 speakers to it as it only has left and right outputs for studio monitors.
