Hi

When I bought the car it had a Kenwood KDC-5021 CD Player installed. This sounded dreadful - no amount of adjustment could change the harsh tinny sound

I scrapped this and replaced it with a Pioneer DEH1300R which is a thousand percent better. This has 4 independent 45W RMS speaker outputs

I'm looking to upgrade the speakers but I only really want to spend about £200 for all four - is this doable?

The fronts are 6.5", the backs are 5"

What about these - Infinity Kappa 42.7i for the back speakers? Stupid question - is that price for two speakers? Any other recommendations?

How about these for the front - Infinity Kappa 652.7i

Are Infinity any good? I know far more about home Hi-Fi kit than car audio kit! I'm looking for decent value for money too - in otherwords if something for £120 is much better than I'd consider it, likewise if it's just as good for £80 :)

I'm looking for good sound quality with punchy bass. I don't want the bass to boom, the mid range to be harsh or non-existant or the treble to be too over powering

I'd like a system with a lot of clarity. I was planning to keep the OEM tweeters - good idea?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for the reply - that does look like a nice setup there!

I was looking at replacing the rear speakers as these seem to be the weakest link in my current system. I've also realised that I said that I needed 5" speakers and I linked to a 4" speaker - Doh!

What does the Dynamat do? Is it worth having?
