Cripes! Are a few of you directly connected to that server?

This is from work. I think I'll get better results from home:

18Mbps ADSL2+
EDIT: lol, speedtest.net can't keep up apparently, according to it I'm only on 5.5mbps, but I just downloaded something off a server at 1.8MBps

8mb broadband from bulldog at the moment there customer surpport is a ******* joke :(. Im moving soon so i will go with ntl :).

Bulldog are pulling out of the residential broadband market soon. There are to become a wholesale provider.

2mbps, waiting for my upgrade to 8. Only really use 2.5-3.5 Gb per month. I really don't download a huge amount. Mostly gaming really.

Why do people who have NTL BB insist on calling it NTHell? I have the 10mb pack.. Never had any problems with them whatsoever plus I havent paid a single penny for 13 months since I had it installed.. NTHeaven imo.:D

3MB Cable here in the States. We're really starting to lag behind the rest of the world with hi-speed :( 3MB is the fastest cable I can get - either that or 1.5MB DSL. My ISP has only just started trialing 10MB in a couple of cities. It's also very expensive

EDIT: nice ping tho...

I'd say thier CS is quite impressive. I mean it must have taken them ages to teach all those monkeys geordie :p

Between the various connections that I use regularly the average speed is probably somewhere between 2mb and 4mb. No idea on the bandwidth used though, depends on what I'm doing that month but anywhere from less than a gb for just emails, surfing etc to probably anywhere up to around 40gb if I am downloading.

Supposedly on 8MBps MAX ADSL. The router syncs at roughly 7500 kbps every single time, but never see more than about 2,000 from speed tests :(

edit: although sometimes it will go a little higher:

Agreed, things have really gone downhill the last six months or so.

at home, 24mb BE for flatmates to use (i hardly ever look touch it), 2mb datastream from work for me.

at work 100mb LES, 2 hops to telehouse edge router, 1gb peering to linx and 1gb transit via l3 and abovenet. I tried the speed test on it a while back and it topped out about 30mbps in each direction to i blame their server...
