I'll be looking to spend around £10-13k in the next year and will be looking for something
with 200+ bhp preferably a turbo but also not too over styled to attract the local toe rags
as it will be parked on the road.

My initial thoughts are leaning towards an Audi S3 as the styling is quite understated,
so opinions please

Leon Cupra R, will get a decent one 2004~ for that money :)

And apart from the brakes, are relatively understated.

Get an MX5 and turbo charge it! :D

would love either particularly the Cossie however location would prohibit that, either one would just attract just too much attention.

Why would you want to do that? They're dull and very tame.

erm... eh?

have you A) never driven one, even un-turbo'd or b) only ever driven >200bhp per tonne supercars and thus have a very distorted view point?

Yes I have been in Freefallers own MX-5 :p Too say it's quick is an understatement. Great fun, and can have a nice chat without having to raise your voice. So I was being slightly sarcastic ;)

turst me a 250bhp (easily done for 3k) rear drive roadster is not tame, I had a go in one and I am a complete mx5 turbo convert now, If I didnt love motorbikes so much I would build myself one, however dont think thas suitable for this guy!

S3, Leaon cupra R, ST220, even a BMW 325/330 are resonably understated without the Msport kits on. However my car choice wouldent be based on little scrotes, if everyone runs and hides and changes things to accomodate them, then the problem will never go away. even then, on this budget I'd be looking at 325/330/LCR/Focus RS/Elise/VX220 depending on how much (or little) practicality I needed at the time.

TT
S2000
Elise
VX220
330Ci sport
MX-5
Integra Type-R
Civic Type-R
Boxster
Focus RS
Focus ST170
Leon Cupra-R
Z3

arr fair enough :) you kinda lose sarcasm in text sometimes

something thats subtle is going to be difficult, most very sporty cars have a habit of trying to look just that, sporty :)

something like a high powered, debadged (or downbadged even) audi or beemer would proberbly be a good idea, or a 530d maybe.... no-one seems to think they're quick till fox yells it at them ;)

S1 elise everytime for that sort of money.

dont get the new shape S2 though, they are a very different car to the previous and I think the older model is a much better driving experience.

Left field suggestion but a Subaru Forester?

Over 200bhp, turbo 0-60 6 seconds and a real wolf in sheeps clothing so I don't think it would be a scrote magnet

You got a G/f or owt? because you might be not Getting any scrotes but u could be missing out on a Babe Magnet
