Ok so I've had my Steam account hijacked and they managed to get it disabled by using a "hacked cybercafe account". I'm trying to figure out what this is. It's probably a lost cause since Valve will probably never believe that I didn't do this myself, but I'd at least like to know what it is I supposedly did.

They just said my account was logges using a hacked cybercafe account. No idea what they are talking about. I have only ever used Steam on two computers. Never used it in a cybercafe or anything like that, and I certainly haven't given my password to anyone.

I originally got the account to play CS 1.6 I think. It was quite a long time ago I set the account up. I had a boxed copy of HL1, or the serial key from it at least, and I put that onto the account.

I had quite a lot on there. Opposing force (boxed), Hl2 (again boxed copy), Sin: episodes (direct from Steam), HL2:Ep1 (again bought on Steam) and GMod. Might have also had blue shift on there, can't remember.

It would cost me a fair amount to get all that back, and I really don't see why I should have to pay again. I bought GMod on the 12th december and I think I played it that day (I did play online for a bit). Don't think I played it at all since then. Then a week or so later I find out my account is disabled and I can't log in.

did you use the IP from more than one IP/ISP?
iirc they sometimes screw you over for that thinking you've shared your account.
I have used it on a total of 3 different ISPs. Ntl at home, I now how Telewest at uni, and last year I used it on the university of Bristol network while I was in halls.

I'll tell them I have a boxed copy of HL2. Hopefully that will help.
