What things do i need to do once i install windows?

Ive done geforce driver and mobo drivers.

my mate reckons in need to turn xbox game dvr off and mentioned other settings in power section . He says ultimate power but i have energy saving and high performance ...no ultimate option.
Do i need to turn game bar off ?

what settings would you guys suggest for a new install .

What spec is the PC?

Install chipset drivers
Update MB to latest BIOS
Run Windows updates for latest build/patches
Install all game clients you use (Steam, Origin, Uplay, Bnet etc)
Install your usual software Chrome, Adobe Reader, CCleaner etc

Power settings just use High Performance for a gaming desktop PC.

My spec is

ryzen 3700x
2080 super
32gb drr4 3200mhz
1.5 tb ssd
Corsair plat cooler.
The motherboard is a b450 msi mortar max.

Ive put steam and all that on.
Bios is from 2019 :/

Latest BIOS for that board is 7C02v37 dated 15th June 2020, so update to this.

Make sure you install the AMD Chipset drivers too, they’re on the Utility tab same link. It’ll also add the AMD Ryzen power plans.
