What to buy: 3d, ips or BIG??

Hey guys

So I have finally finished my first ever build and now want a new monitor to go with my i5 2500k and gtx 480

Now my budget is approx 250 big ones and what I want to know is given the chioce what would you lot plump for??

First off I was thinking about a 24" 3d monitor as like the 120hz refresh rate and may dabble in 3d down the line.

But then I thought bigger must be better, so I started looking at the 27-28" offerings.

And then a final spanner was thrown in to the works when I clocked the dell u2311 ops monitor on a weekly spesh!

So my question is, given the above predicament what would the very knowledgeable people off ocuk forums do??

This is a very tidy monitor, IMHO coming in under budget this will seriously do everything you want from a monitor, If you can stretch the budget another 100 or so i would definetely pick up two of these.

I can vouch for that monitor, but you could afford something better

Thanks for the reply, would you go with this over the dell u2311, I'm not looking at a dual setup any time soon.

I would recommend the Dell personally. Really nice monitor and for the current price it is a great deal (not too long ago this was £260).

I am seriously leaning towards the Dell 23 ultra sharp. Are there any other screnns you guys think i should consider??

I'd vote for the Dell IPS based monitor (I actually have this along with the Dell 2405). But I'm a bit biased because I seriously don't like TN panels.
