Clothes. Gadgets can be cheap if you shop around and barter, but be aware that some stores charge silly money for things - 2gb SD card in Times Square camera shop - ~$90!! thats a shocking price.

Go to the out of town erm, outlet malls. That's where the bargains are to be had. Or in other words find out where the people that live there shop. Don't go for the flashy stores. If you're looking for a bargain, would you just stick to Oxford or Bond St. in London?

if you have a vista pc with media center (and obviously that connected to a source of TV signal) get yourself a linksys dm2100 extender to plug into your tv/music system. US versions work fine with our power and can be had cheap.

For clothes, New York is amazing. Abercrombie and Fitch have some massive bargains compared to here. GAP had cheap jeans too.

For electricals, once you add the 4% sales tax on it's not that much cheaper. Especially with the exchange rate at the moment. Do your homework before you go to get the best bargains.

CLOTHES i think is what's on the agenda.

Abercrombie and Fitch is a good idea. Thanks.

May try Gap as well, I'll have a hunt for websites that ssist in NYC clothes shopping breaks.
