what to buy?????

I'm thinking of upgrading/ getting a new PC

My current spec is

P4 3.4 CPU
2 gigs ram
6800 gt graphics card
400 gig sata drive( i think)
DVD
DVD rw
17" 1280 lcd monitor
XP

I can't upgrade the graphics becuase it only has a 250 watt power supply.

Is there anything I can do?

Or should I spend around a £1000 and make a new vista system. I want it to be able play all the lastest games.

seems a reasonable spec, is it a shuttle by any chance with agp & a 250watt psu? If so these are of very high quality & an ati x1950pro will give a heathy boost.

Why don't you buy a new PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-016-TG&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=393 and then upgrade your graphics card

what Resolution do you play games at, and what sort of budget are you on.

i think that PC will last you untill Quad cores come down in price then its a real upgrade, even though Core 2 Duo's at the moment pretty Wicked cards.

the only time you should upgrade is when your PC is not handling the things you want at the Performance you expected.
