what to upgrade/change

Hi all, this is my system.

I like playing pubg, fallout 76, and have got far cry 5 yet to play

I am running my monitor at 2560x1440 and as many frames as poss.

on game like pubg, im getting around 70 fps on high to ult settings (screen scale at 120)

What would you recommend to change in my system please.

the cpu is at 4.2Ghz (think 5.15 boost?), and the ram is still DDR3

The cpu overclock is done by the motherboard OC button

Do you think changing the gpu to a 1080 would be a good idea, or is there a better cpu that would fit in, or is it a full cpu, ram, motherboard needed please?

what's your budget?

the most cost effective upgrade would be to swap out the 3570k for a 3770k.

with my current i5-3750k, it is 3.4ghz standard, and if i click the OC button on the motherboard, it goes to 4.2ghz.

is there any way to tell/know what the i7-3770k would go to from its 3.5 standard please

who knows? it's the luck of the draw, really...
normally it's 4.3-4.5ghz with minimal increase in voltages.

but it's not the raw clockspeed increase, it's the extra 4 threads (from hyperthreading) that sets the 3770k apart from the 3570k.
