What TV shows are you currently watching

Some things are just not for you. No point persevering in the hope that you'll acquire someone else's opinion of something eventually. It doesn't change much so if the first few episodes aren't grabbing you it likely never will.

Personally, I think it stands as one of the best TV series ever made, and I never liked Breaking Bad.
 
Just finished the new season of Beef. Such a good show. Although can't decide if i preferred the first one. This one seemed a bit less "beef"

Moved onto Friends and Neighbours.

i've seen 'Berlin Station' i enjoyed it, apart from the end of season 3

there were some unique and very entertaining characters amongst the cast ensemble

the story arcs i loved. but the ending with, well you know what happened in the last parts of season 3, had me a bit sad. it's not often i watch TV series' and want to cry, but it's not an unknown phenomenon

since 'Spooks' i've become a follower of Richard Armitage's work and shows.

Harlan Coben, it would seem has Richard's phone number on speed dial. but Richard Armitage is so charismatic, and distinctly British, albeit with a dubious American accent when needed. he's a real pleasure to watch. it's easy to understand why he is often first choice for some of Coben's work
 
'The Agency' series 2 is IMHO a huge improvement on S1. S1, while good was a bit too focused on "Martian's" love life/connection with Sudanese mole/defector Dr. Samir. and that distracted the momentum a bit.
('Martian' is the code name of Michael Fassbender's character - field agents in the series are referred to by code names rather than real names)

its progress into Iran, and the nuclear burial sites is art imitating life. the russian mercenary group 'Valhalla' operating in Africa are obviously based on wagner PMC. even down to the main valhalla protagonist using a sledgehammer as his choice of tool to punish traitors, and uncovered foreign agents

i'm enjoying it much more than S1. it's the same cast, but the script has taken on a new direction. and it has improved the show immeasurably

i'm still enjoying 'Star City'. some recent developments with the main characters. and the story arc have been unexpected. but, at the same time they are, from what i can gather, very reminiscent of the KGB-infused Soviet Union during the late 60s/early 70s

where it can go after last week's ending is anybody's guess, but it was an act that i never at all saw coming!

i've tried to make my post as spoiler-free as possible by just alluding to certain actions and incidents as there will probably be many more who want to watch this series when they get the time/opportunity

Watched it when it came out and loved the first season...then went weird in season2 and that kid, man I wanted to strangle him so I had to stop watching!

Well I haven't made it that far as still on s1.. can see not making it to the very end but will persist for now!

HA!...I watched this all last year, never seen it before, started great, gets bad ( in a bad enough I need to keep watching). Then theirs a son who you would just wish got killed off lol.
It does have a conclusion though.

Death in Paradise, S2.

I'm loving a bit of a more laid back series, rather predictable format every episode but it doesn't take itself too seriously.
 
Another (S7) series of the excellent Canal Diaries just finished. Robbie heads down the Llangollen canal and ends up at the end of the (very challenging) Rochdale. Relaxing and interesting slow TV 8/10
 
I've been working my way through Buffy/Vampire Slayer whilst I do gaming and really forgot what a superb show this really was. I think it was the only show to properly portray a working school environment during that time? I am at the end of Season 2 at the moment as Angel prepares to leave LA (for his own show) and the Mayor is about to nom everything on graduation day.

It is hard to take in that a small chunk of that amazing cast has left us though.

Still prefer Angel (the show) though!

Finished The Boys now. I really enjoyed it overall to the point I'd watch the whole thing again at some point in the future.

Maybe 3 or episodes of House left and maybe 6 of Parks and Recreation.

Going to give How I Met Your Mother a go when I've finished Parks.
