What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

Got round to getting and trying Arkham Shadow, have really neglected my Q3 so want to get back into it. Good, but wouldn’t say great so far in terms of performance and graphics. Really need to update QGO and see if that helps at all.

Generally, haver you found the QGO useful at all.?

Easy enough to use.?

Thanks

It definitely improves some games, I haven’t really messed around with the settings, but just using provided profiles worked well from memory. I would say easy enough to use, but a faff to install.

Going back somev time I seem to remember it took some time to get installed to function.
Maybe it is something that I should think about, overall being happy enough with what I see.
Maybe I need to take a look at YT, to see if there is some content on there.

I tried walkabout golf yesterday after so many good mentions.. I didn't find it all that good though.. It seems like with golf you need to be accurate, and you can't really be accurate with a vr controller..

Let's us know how you go on

Thanks
The update was pretty painless! Think the main hassle is probably the first time if you need to enable developer mode on your account and so on.

It works on Arkham Shadow but highlights the fact they consider the game is poorly optimised so the benefit is limited - pretty poor for an Oculus exclusive title!

Ah, thanks for telling us.

Point taken, using QGO is not a guarantee of improvements for all Meta titles, but it does seem to have its place for others. I'll probably pick it up at some point, kinda put off with the faff of installation.

Does it work with Build V81 girmware..? I am noting this over that the QGO page ....

Public Test Channel (PTC)

  • In general, please avoid the PTC channel
  • v81 (PTC) Meta broke MTP US

Where it list any known bugs or issues.....

I completed into the radius 1 for about the 5th time now. I've decided to uninstall it so I don't play it anymore haha..
Last one I tried to do no suppressor.. Went ok until Kolkhoz - and was just run over when I made a move in the village for the birthday party mission.. And then even worse when I went to the train depot..

i find its better playing with others to get the best expirence from it.
it depends how realistic you want it, if you want fun the walkabout mini golf, there is a certain amount of aim assist. Golf+ is more realistic.
the trackings got a lot better from when quest 1 first released.

Yeah my fault I guess.. It's like playing crazy golf at the beach on your own.. NOT FUN lol..

Have you got one of those golf stick type attachments where you fit the controller at the ned of it, to use as a club..?
If you do try one, make sure the controller is securely attached..!

I have got one, my friend gave it to me. Only tried it for a very little while, not wishing to let any of our grandchildren even know we have got it...!
Not a game that I could play for now.

there are lots for sale, just make sure you have plenty of duct tape to wrap round the head for extra reassurance.

you'd be welcome to join us if you wanted a social game and some ribbing on game play

attachment isnt strictly needed, but better experience for Golf+

we have a few people who Golf+

I have one also, night and day difference on Golf+.. not had to use any duct tape, as seems very secure, and i've given it some right good swinging :)

Wouldn't want to use it on walkabout though, would be more of a hindrance than a help..

When I tried ours out it was more of hitting furniture and other objects in the room that I had any real concerns over. The attachment itself seemed most secure.

:).. yes there is that.. luckily I have quite a large play space, so my only concern was hitting the ceiling light.. makes the game so much more enjoyable though.. although I seem to be as crap at VR golf as I am real golf :)

Crazy golf is my max, in terms of crappiness Vs game, VR or reality.

It isn't as bad for us now as we no longer have the cats we used to, one in particular would typically lie down within our gaming zone, if he got into the room when VR was being played. That did not go well, for the player and, at times, for the cat.
