What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

My other half just completed Moss and raved about it so thought I'd give it a try.
So charming and fun :)

It's one of the few VR games i've completed.. loved it..

I played it last year on PSVR2 and loved it. Didn't think it would work in VR but it was brilliant, got the sequel in my backlog.

I tried the sequel but couldn't get on with it as much, I think I did the first 4 or 5 levels, and not gone back to it..

Any one else looking forwards to Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes? I really like the series, especially as i played 1&2 using uevr. This new one looks to be 1st person.

Just started playing Bootstrap Island. Seems pretty good so far. A little janky in places but has some very good graphics, and excellent VR mechanics. It's a survival game but it's not as complicated as some others.

Wow this looks great! Thank you..

I've put 100+ hrs into ITR1, and I just started on ITR2 as I heard it's kinda good now.. Enjoying it! But I feel like the guns are a bit more.. clumsy than ITR1.. Reloading doesn't seem as smooth or easy.. Can't put my finger on it..

No experience of those games but native VR should be less janky / friction.

I know ITR1 is a very good game, i couldnt get on with the graphics though, bought ITR2 probably over 1 year ago now because the graphics looked much more what i like, is it a good game? i bet co op is fun but i heard it was buggy.

I was really looking forward to ITR2 but I never really persevered with it after buying. It's been a while, so struggling to remember exactly why, I think that maybe there wasn't enough about it that was different. I appreciate that it's (still) early access, but it's going slow and feels very lacking. Because I've now already played it and the mystery of what it was going to be like is gone, by the time it is eventually finished I'll no longer be interested just for whatever few features or maps that may be added. It's unfortunately lost its momentum for me.

I liked the style of graphics on ITR1, 2 isn't much different really.. Maybe a bit more colour.. But ITR2 now is good. I really like it. I waited until this point to play it as it was a bit janky before.. The gun customisation is great! And the enemies being in colour and being able to know if it's a pistol guy or a shotgun guy or an assault rifle guy.. Makes all the difference!

I tried bootstrap island last night.. Wow it's really laggy for me.. Turned some options down and it's nice and blurry now :/ But at least the fps is more around 80 now.. Shame because the youtube video looks so sharp and amazing! lol..

One thing I'm not liking is if you die you go back to the start (unlocks still unlocked at least). To me it feels kinda like... dragging it out a bit and punishing you too much.

The most frustrating thing for me is striking stones together doesn't work reliably to create sparks. I've died a few times due to that.

Oh I'm glad it's not just me! I've been thinking it only works when a bit of wood is on top of the tinder first! I actually hit my controllers together for the first time ever. Thankfully no damage... It was almost pitch black and growling sounds in my ear.. So you can imagine the scene..
I'd hate for that to happen after 10 nights in and still have to repeat the progress.. Not sure if this game is really for me..

I've hit my controllers together a few times due to that too! I was enjoying the game until it got that frustrating just trying to light a fire.

Copy the "OVRplugin.dll" from the zip on that page I posted to the Bootstrap Island game folder e.g.:

Steam\steamapps\common\Bootstrap Island\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Oculus\OVRPlugin\OVRPlugin\Win64

Finally after several attempts I'm going back to modded (Mad Gods Overhaul) SkyrimVR this weekend, almost 8yrs after its release!

I think its now reached a good compromise between quality, interaction along with the PC horse (armour) power to brute force it.
