I've heard Dirt Rally 2 being mentioned a lot elsewhere, I think I'll grab a copy. Cheers.

if rally is their bag imo dirt rally 2 is a nice balance between sim and arcade. cheap as chips too.
sorry I can't help you. I have only played with my fanatec wheel which worked fine.Managed to get this playing in VR, but can't get the controller to fully work. They work in the menu when in 2D mode, but then when going to drive the car nothing works. If I switch to full VR mode they move around but button presses etc don't work. I've got the controllers set as default in the Virtual Desktop VR menu etc.
What controller are you trying to use? I've played Dirt Rally 2.0 recently on a wheel in VR and it was flawless. I mapped all my controls on the wheel in game in flat first then restarted the game in VR and I could navigate around menus using the buttons and joystick on the wheel then in game my wheels and pedals work as expected. I never had to do anything with controllers in Virtual Desktop etcManaged to get this playing in VR, but can't get the controller to fully work. Never tried the Quest controllers in Dirt Rally, but if they show up in-game you should be able to map them in-game.It's just the Quest 3 controllers. I managed to play using the keyboard, but it wasn't ideal and I had my face pressed up against the windscreen! I managed to bring up some generic controller mapping through the VR menu in headset, but I was getting too frustrated by that point - gaming is supposed to be fun and it was becoming hard work. Is it possible to map the Q3 controllers in game on the flat screen, as that would probably be easiest?

Do you not have an Xbox controller you could use? That should work straight away.
Your PC/Steam should automatically recognise an Xbox controller and map it accordingly. Once you start Dirt Rally 2.0 in VR via Virtual Desktop you would put your Quest controller down and pickup the Xbox controller.Cool, I'll have a look.
I've got some spare Xbox controllers, I never even thought about that cheers. Will the Q3 automatically recognise them via Bluetooth?

Thanks. Presumably it's connecting through the headset though? I don't have Bluetooth on my Windows PC.
is it an Xbox 360 or and Xbox 1 pad (I am assuming it's not an old "Duke" or "S" original controller.Cool, I'll have a look.

Ah ok, thanks all. It's Xbox One S controllers as my son now uses the One X. USB it is! Could be handy for VTOL VR as well.
Correct, the only 3rd-party controller VTOL VR uses is a rudder if you've got one, otherwise it uses your headset's controllers.I don't think VTOL supports controllers.. and in fairness is very good with the Q3 controllers using virtual cockpit controls.
Yeah I tried it, was great for awhile then hit frame rate issues, one for the future with official VR support.I did try the UEVR Mod for Assetto Corsa Rally but it was terrible, even at the low preset I couldn't hit 90fps. Will have to wait for the official VR patch or the Nvidia 6000 series.
Well I played it again today in VR using the UEVR mod and it worked perfectly, no frame rate issues nothing. Here’s a video I created…Yeah I tried it, was great for awhile then hit frame rate issues, one for the future with official VR support.
