What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

I’ve noticed that virtually every race you get a couple of DNF. I just keep going even if I’m at the lower end of the pace, which unfortunately is every race. I owe it to the other players and the integrity of the game to keep going.

You could look at it from another perspective if you retire early from a race you’re saving the others time waiting for you to finish which can be well over a minute and usually more.

Thing is the game eventually counts down from five minutes in which time you must complete the stage otherwise you’ll get DNF. Fortunately I’m not that slow so that’s never happened to me.

Been putting it off for months, and I love the way the 9070XT barely got warm (6700 was a no go on this one).

But yeh, Alien VR.

Not **** myself that much for years (ever?).

Not sure why the game gets so many bad reviews, it's awesome!

Are we talking Alien: Rogue Incursion or Alien: Isolation? Rogue Incursion gets bad reviews for being repetitive and having poor performance and VR implementation. Alien: Isolation gets great reviews, so I may have been unlucky, but I found it got boring and quit. Think it may have been the medical section that I reached during my play though, but I got killed several times in a row and keeping still and hiding did not seem to help. Loaded it up the next day, still kept getting killed in the same section. Looked online for some hints. Loaded it up again the next day, without fail the alien appeared and found me when I tried to complete the mission. After three sessions replaying the same bit and doing lots of hiding, all the fun had gone. I later played Jurassic World Aftermath which essentially seemed to be a crouching and hiding in cupboards simluation, which confrmed that I do find this mechanic boring and put me off from going back to give Alien: Isolation another go.

The new one, runs like a dream and VR implementation I found is really good.

I am a sucker for the Alien movies though and it nails the atmosphere so there is a danger of me being a bit rose tinted I guess...

Now I have dusted off the headset, next up VTOL that I was kindly given a key for here

I've got that and quite enjoy it, a bit of a faff to take off as it pretty much like a simulator. I've got workshop mods downloaded for the A10 etc, but I think they were having some issues with the mod thingy and I only managed to get one mod working, which was still enough for some brrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrr. Might have been fully fixed now, others were complaining.

Here are some playlists with VTOT VR guides.

Just a little random title I thought I'd mention that is absolutely epic if you can play it - Chronos. It's not available on the Quest 3 as it's an old game that was out on the Rift S but if you can manage to play it tethered to a PC you are in for a treat. Dark Souls like game with amazing graphics and setting.

Started playing Assetto Corsa EVO in multiplayer and unlike Assetto Corsa Rally I’m actually competitive. My lap times are around 5th fastest which I’m happy with.

In Assetto Corsa Rally it is hard to drive fast and stay on the track, and if you don’t stay on track you get a X second penalty.

A:RI is another level! I couldn't actually get past the part where you have to put 3 power cells into the ship due to a bug. I believe that's been fixed but I have no intention of playing it anymore. I'm in my 40's and that game just hits different..
I thought it looked and ran *pretty* well (on my pc at least). My only gripe with it was the fact the aliens would just keep coming, so I felt like I'm always rushed to move on and not explore... But maybe that's what they intended anyway..
