What would you be more worried about?

After just reading this it made me think, would I be more worried about travelling into space or down in something like Alvin?

Either way if something went wrong you probably wouldn't have a hope in hell of surviving, drifting in outer space or stuck at the bottom of an ocean (that's if you didn't explode or were crushed before then...)

It's one of those things I'm never sure if I'd like to do, just worries me a little if something goes wrong.:p So would you be more worried about, travelling to 6,500m below sea level or into outer space?

On the bright side, if you were to have an accident in space, you could become the first human being immortalised having a fap. Take that Pioneer 10.

I'd prefer to go to space for the sole reason that you would be able to look back upon Earth.
I don't think I'd be 'scared' to do either, apprehensive yes, excited very but there's little point in being scared for the reasons you said. If something goes wrong, well that's it isn't it?

I would hate being stuck under water more but when you think about it, your a lot closer to land in the sea than out of space, and more likely have a chance of being rescued.

I'd far rather do space. Much more interesting and amazing.

In space, if something did go wrong you'd be more likely to die instantly compared to water (maybe). Saying that, you could get stuck in the shuttle and starve to death/die of thirst!

Either way, I don't tend to worry about 'what could happen', especially if it was something amazing like space or deep sea.

TBH if Alvin sprung a leak at 6,500m it would probably implode within seconds. :p

I wouldn't say I would be scared, but I think there would definately be apprehension in there. I'd love to see earth from space though and also see a black smoker up close....

I'd be equally worried by both; if something went wrong, I think in both cases you would die instantly, unless you became stranded. It would take much longer to be rescued from space.

that said, I'd still prefer to go space. Been a childhood dream for me :P I would do terrible terrible things to get a ticket for that space tourism craft that richard branson made.

Deep sea for sure. Deep water scares me a lot since I came close to drowning when younger and the thought of going down that deep and getting stuck makes me cringe.

I would much rather be stuck in space.

Neither would bother and death is always a great risk. For me the lure, magic and awesomeness of space would always make it my choice.

I'd be more worried about space, far more things to go wrong I think. My worst case scenario could happen in either- getting stuck and slowly running out of oxygen. I'd rather die quickly if I had a choice.
