Another ebay question, soory (although my first of this kind)

I bought this item With an offer of £99.99. Now this phone is worth £350 min. What do you think I should do, I only bid to try my luck with the price, and he took it, so at that price I would bite his arm off, thats why I'm a bit worried.... if its to good to be true and all that.

I asked the seller to send me a photo of the phone with my user name in and he replyed-

Oh I understand! That's near impossible as all phones are dispatched from a distributors in ramsgate! Thanx clinton

What to do? If I paid by paypal would I be able to get the money back if it was not a real deal?

Thanks, and sorry.

Should do, just like any other transaction, unless there are some conditions with best offers I am not aware of.

Hm, the thing is you know you said that, he could take a picture of any of them phones, from the net and stick your username on lol...

I think its to good to be true, and he don't look very clever, 13 feedbacks?

Maybe but I did ask for it on a piece of paper, next to the phone.... so not so easy.

On the one hand he has good form for selling expensive phones. On the other hand the buyers whilst looking genuine could be staged and so on. And 13 ratings isnt great. Especially when you add this to it:
Seller wasn't happy with win bid, tried to make it up by inflating postage costs

Dunno if i'd go for it tbh.
If you do pay by paypal and just be weary of his postage costs etc.

Postage is a lot for a phone, at £10 + £5 insurance (wich I would oviously take) but thats ok, its still cheap even with high postage.

What are the chances of paypal giving me the cash back? Even if he send me a box of stones RMSD so he can get a tracking number.

Personally I would NEVER buy a phone of ebay ever but thats just me, no picture of real phone copied info cheapness screams scam tbh I wouldnt touch it ever :/.

There is no way you can prove he did not send you the phone, as said he oculd send you a box of stones for a tracking number.

Spoke to a dealer friend and according to him, these phones cost the dealers £228 approx. and they're not available to them yet, so get confirmation from the seller about the dispatch as, in theory, he should not even have any yet. If he says that he is sending it by return, he, in theory, is telling fibs. These phones are available direct from Orange to customers or it may be an import from Europe, in which case it may not be set up to work on UK networks.

My friend recommends asking questions about these issues before you part with any money.

Good luck.

PS. He has just said that if you want this particular phone and are an Orange customer, you could get it from Orange your self.

Sent him this email sorry for using what you said before, hope you dont mind-

These phones are only available direct from Orange to customers or import from Europe, how did you get yours? If its an EU model then I dont want it as it wouldnt have a UK plug and book (I think this is fair as it was not stated in the auction description).

Have to see his responce.
