i reckon it could be done, it's certainly something i'd look into if i had this sort of cash to do something with and if it wasn't viable, i'd still try and do something similar abroad. maybe set up a diving school or something.

Well no, it couldnt be done, because it isn't enough money to secure an investment Visa into either Australia or New Zealand, let alone buy any sort of property.

Except perhaps a 1 bedroom flat.

£100k will open a lot of doors
a hostel is providing a service to tourism and providing local employment
£100k wouldn't buy the building outright but it's certainly a figure that would lead to a pay-out agreement on the remainder
