What would you like to see in the next Ipad? (Not Mini Ipad)

Not going to happen... iPhone and iOS, definitely not iPad... It's only 6 months or so (if that) into it's annual product cycle.

There are rumours floating around about the possibility of adding the new smaller port to the current gen iPads.

Can't see them doing that tbh... when thunderbolt came out they didn't update everything that didn't have them (albeit this is slightly different). The only time I think they'll do it is if they release a larger/small iPad but even then I doubt the current iPad would get the overhaul, unless they are scared no one will buy an iPad 3 with the "redundant" port?

I know it's never going to happen and I understand why, but I would really love it if iOS could, natively, play way more video formats.

Moved to Android from iOS recently for my phone and while I'm pretty much 50/50 as to which I prefer, and fairly certain that after this contract I'll go back to Apple for my phone (I'm sort of on holiday having had iPhones since the first one.. I'm a bit bored of looking at iOS), it's pretty rad just being able to throw video files at my phone and knowing it will play them.

See I tell myself this, But rumours are rumours and I can wait till the 12th to at least put my mind at rest

With it being just 2 weeks away now - I would also wait if I were in your position... Just incase...

Then again... you could take advantage of the 14 days - no questions asked - refund that Apple give

The storage space in question is flash memory, it was obvious that's what was being discussed as RAM is pretty irrelevant where the iPad is concerned as applications are designed to the requirements of the device not to have requirements of the device.

RAM isn't irrelevant at all, I've had apps run out of RAM on my iPad 3.

Not being able to do something as simple as load a YouTube video in the background while I browse the Internet is very annoying. Especially when HQ videos take ages to load on even a very fast wifi connection.

The only thing that I really care about is USB 3.0 support. Syncing large apps takes way too long at the moment.

What I can see them doing is making the new connector duel USB2.0/Thunderbolt compatible, that way using the massive popularity of the iPad to help increase TB uptake in the PC market and subtly press older Mac users to upgrade.

The cpu and memory are just fine right now. Maybe this is the effect of coming from an iPad 1 which only had 256mb of RAM. 2GB of RAM would be nice in the next iPad, but that's extremely unlikely given Apple's track record.

The iPad is pretty much perfect right now. I love the screen and the multitasking capability, swiping left and right for different apps. The bezel is perfect from an actual real world usage pov, holding the iPad from different angles. After using the Galaxy S3 with amazingly thin bezels and large screen size overall make it a pain to hold and use. The extremely touch sensitive buttons at the bottom that constantly light up when you accidentally brush against them with your fingers is extremely annoying and the placement of the volume and power buttons on the opposites sides of an already narrow phone, leaves you with barely and room to hold the phone and use it with ease.

I say keep the bezel the same. There's a reason so many are copying the style.

The only thing I want is native playback of all video and audio formats. Xvid, mkv, avi, flac, ogg, etc. This is very unlikely to happen thanks to the iTunes closed garden. Oh and real N wifi. I can only max out transfer speed at 2.3 MB which is pathetic in this day and age. Should be up near 10MB a second.

While we're at it, have some fallback feature for flash webpages, an automatic conversion or alternative instead of staring at some black hole.

This is the job of the web designer / developer, is entirely possible without apple doing anything and has already happened most places.
