Who are you sleeping with?

My wife mainly ;)

Looking at the quotes some people are getting on the Scoobies I didn't think my renewal price was all that amazing. Although Group 20 and expensive when new, its old enough that it has shed £60K of its original value and isn't the sort of car that hooligans drive (nor do I personally think Scoobies are but insurance companies have a different opinion). Factor in a very low crime area and the fact I'm an old git and it doesn't seem that special.

What does everyone pay for insurance?. Include your age, car, claim history, endorsements, ncb, cost of cover & type and insurer?

34, 2004 Bora 1.8T sport (180bhp), no claims, no endorsements, max ncb (9 yrs+), £400 FC with protected bonus, wife also on policy. Fortis.

Although having just got a quote with Privilege for £360, I'll be moving insurers on renewal :)

I wouldn't get a car which pushed my premium over about £500.

I had my renewal quote through the post this morning.

21yo, Honda Accord 2.0, 1yr NCB, 1 fault & 1 n/fault, £1600
(i expect a bit less cos i havent shopped around yet)

If it wasnt for my faulted (arguable) accident this year, i would now have 4yrs NCB, but instead I've got 1... *breaks down and cries*

Original question was what WOULD you pay. After a mid-policy car change I paid £700 for the last 3 months cover, thats £2800/yr and I was quite happy to pay it for the freedom of being able to drive in the car that I wanted.

I did once get a FPN for not wearing a seatbelt and was about to get a FPN for 45 in a 30 except when I told him my date of birth, it matched the cops first day on the force when he joined and he took pity.

At the moment (renewal was July 2006)

22, 3 points SP50, 1 year NCB, License held 2 years, Civic 1.8 VTI (group 16) £717 TPF&T.

After some consideration I don't think I'll pay above £1000 from now on. I think I'm chopping my car in for something a bit cheaper next year anyway.
