Whatever Happened to the SV?

It was a MG so it died along with everything else. The last of them were sold off at auction last summer I think. No one has brought the rights afiak and the engine was from a mustang.
I wonder how it compares to a saleen mustang or whatever matches it at that reduced price. Anyone know how much they weighed?

cant be much if it was carbon fibre.

The garage I bought my LCR from had one in at the time. Build quality was shocking, sure the interior "looked" ok, but in esscence it fell apart when you looked at it.

The engine sounds utterly fantastic though, and i'd happily own one just to rev the nuts off it at a standstill!

Yeah, backwards through hedges mostly according to the guy who drove it, nearly stacked it a few times getting it from auction to the dealership.

Well its the only way to go....

Backwards through a hedge in a huge fireball, you know you've arrived when that happens :p

I really like these - I hope to own one at some point!

I saw the Top Gear review where Clarkson drove it and he liked it. Generally, from reviews, I got the consensus that it was a good handling car?

LOL. they look good from far away, but in the flesh.....they look pretty cheap tbh. I managed to spot one a few months ago and had a gander. it certainly isnt built like a £40k saloon.

I'd certainly echo the above, the paint was thin (could see the weave on parts of the body), and the panel gaps majoratively sucked.

From how he drove when he took me out in his elise, I doubt it.
not necessarily true.
drive an old 911 like you drive an ordinary car and it won't just be your Xbox that has a 360 in the title.
different cars require different approaches and the same applies to drivers.
look at motorsport and you'll find some drivers more suited to FWD while others find 4wd suits there style.
