Any game, ever released.

I would have to go with Stalker. Was really looking forward to it (for some time) but could not stand it.

As much as I try to think I can't think of any game which I was ever more disappointed with.

What about you guys?
 
Kinda Stalker but I haven't really got into it, was expecting a bit more though. 2142 was dissapointing. Vietcong 2 was too, piece of crap.
 
Unreal 2.

The orginal was pure awesome condensed into a CD.

The sequel was all things awful.


Its like that film with Arnie and Danny DeVito, Twins, where one got all the best stuff, and the other all the crap.

Thats what Unreal and Unreal 2 were like.
 
Deus Ex 2 : Invisible war

Probably not the worst game I've played, but after the sublime creation that was Deus Ex, the sequel was a complete and utter letdown.

Full of bugs, with crappy performance
Story dumbed down by 20 IQ points
Universal ammo... WTF?!
 
Prey was a bit meh. I enjoyed it, 'specially online, but the online play was (is) very laggy and from the outset there were only ever about 10 people online maximum in the whole world.
 
Controversial one here: Half Life

After all the fuss i bought it on steam a few years ago and while it was very immersive and was obviously a good game, i was just uninspired and i still don't think it warrants best game ever status as it is frequently called.

Got bored eventually near the end of the game and never went back.
 
C&C3, its utter bobbins.
Played most of the NOD campaign and hated almost every mission.

Crap control, crap story. Horde up all of your resources and then nuke.
It's like levelling a NE druid in normal world and taking it through deadmines :(.
 
I would say to me the most disappointing has been ... day of defeat & red orchestra only because it looked and sounded ace but when I brought them they we borin compared to other online games ( I know other people that enjoy them a lot tho)

Yes stalker was quite disappointing also, £27.99 I paid & I ain't got past the 1st mission I just got bored & took it back, but made a duplicate 1st ;)
 
Unreal 2. I can't remember anything particularly bad about it......in fact I can't remember anything about it all, which was exactly the problem. The first Unreal had so many moments I'll never forget - the 2nd one was a complete none-event.

Deus Ex 2. To be fair, it was always going to be hard beating what was maybe the greatest game ever made. But they didn't even try.
 
Battlefield 2142. To be honest it was a lazy made game, there was nothing special compared to bf2, all it was a reface, they also screwed up the game play i just cant get into the game.
 
Prey, its the kind of 'play once then sell' game. Plus im sure it breaks health and safety regulations, it gave me no end of headaches with all the flipping, anti-grav, portal business. It game repetitive too. Didnt even bother trying to play it online

Let down :(
 
Deus Ex 2
Ok, Deus Ex original hasnt been bettered by any other fps yet, and the 2nd effort was the biggest pile of shiz ive bought
future disapoinment will be -Crysis because i fear the technology will be greater than the gameplay
