I can put either in my work PC, would have thought the XP but the only reason im doubting it is the Sempron has a higher FSB.

2400+ XP
Throughbred 133x15 1995 Mhz
0.13um

L1 Data 64 Kbytes
L1 Code 64 Kbytes
L2 Cache 256 Kbytes

or

2400+ Sempron
Throughbred 166x10 1660 Mhz
0.13um

L1 Data 64 Kbytes
L1 Code 64 Kbytes
L2 Cache 256 Kbytes

What do you guys reckon?

Hard call really. Will you be overclocking?
both have pros and cons, hopefully someone with a lot of experience in socket A chips will pass by

Used to have an XP 2700 i'd say go with XP, unless you want to overclock the other but for office work you probably wouldn't need to, so stick with the stock XP for additional mhz and to avoid buying any additional cooling and things unnecessary.

hope this helps.

I'd go for the XP. A fair difference on the clock speeds there although im not so sure on the impact in performance due to the lower fsb.
