Hi guys. New build, using my new Vertex 2e SSD and it's very fast. Decided to run a bench and the write speeds don't look too good :(

Thng is, I did everything right? Set up as ACHI. Install Win 64. TRIM is enabled. Ran SSD Tweeker. Disabled system restore, hibernation and sleep.

Here is what I got..

BTW firmware is 127, I see the latest is 129 but I can't update as it's my primary drive.

It's SATA 3gbps. I do have a 6gbps board (AMD) but I left it at auto in the BIOS as these drives are only sata 3gbps. Nothing else running :(

Doesnt look that slow, i just ran mine (playing poker, listening to music, few other things in background)

I get

Seq - 208.9 - write - 88.58
512k - 200.1 - write 86.50
4k - 20.32 - write 72.45
4k qd32 - 114.0 write 86.86

120gb version

Yeah that's quite a bit more though, especially the write. Also my system was doing nothing while yours wasn doing other stuff :(

Does anyone think it's because I've got an AMD board or because I used that SSD Tweeker program?

Have you tried a different sata port? I know i had slow bench speed initially and turned out having it in a different port increased the speed by quite a bit. Bit of trial an error on my boards part. (not amd btw)

I think the 3 things to disable used to be: Superfetch, windows indexing service and windows search. As they increase constant writes on your drive which could wear it a little.

Try disable them ( Do a bit of googling) And then leave your SSD idle for a little while for TRIM to kick in then give it another go

I always bench with ATTO. The most accuracte Benchy there is for SSDs. Shows me my speeds that it says in for the drive spec even after gaming, itunes + more.

Corsair Force 160gb here :D

OK guys I added an IDE HD and even though my SATA ports are set to ACHI, in the hard disk manager it said my vertex was IDE??

Here's my ATTO. Does it look OK?

Also here's my bootspeed results.
