I've just bought a Sony DSC-T7 and wanted to get a 1GB Memory stick to replace the 32MB one they supply. Is there any need to get a 'Gaming' MS Duo Pro or would a normal one do?

The 'Gaming' ones are normally advertised for PSP's.

Cheers

See here...

The higher performance MS PRO Duo cards are required for recording movies in the 640-Fine VX mode. This mode captures VGA video at 30 frames per second.

Doesn't really answer you question tho, so try looking over here at compatibility.

Any Memory Stick Duo that is bigger than 128MB is always Pro Duo, which is all that is required by the camera to record the high-quality video.

In other words, as long as the card is over 128MB, you don't have to worry about whether it's High-Speed, Normal or Gaming. They will all be fast enough for the MPEG VX video.

If you get the Sandisk Ultra IIs, or the Sony High-Speed cards, then the card to computer transfer would be much faster. But since you only have to do that a few times a week (say), it doesn't seem like a big enough difference to justify spending much more. If it's only a £5 difference then you might as well go for the hi-speed ones, though.
