I used my mobile whilst in my car and my license is away getting 3 points put on it. I need to know what my conviction code is to get an insurance quote. Does anyone know what code I have to use?

you should have denied it and gone to court with a motoring specialist solictor

aslong as they dont have you on video its your word against theres

and you will get your court costs recovered

There are many things you can justify

1/2 Pints (variable i know) and drive
Speed (time and a place)
Eat(iffy),Drink,Smoke

None of this bother me but talking on a phone grinds my gears, especially when you can get perfectly good hands free kits.

I am not a fan of regulation but some people are idiots with phones.

I died a little inside when my gf mentioned she txts occaisionally when driving.

I would like to point out she is smart, has common sense and only does this on a rare occassion but still...

i couldn't give a **** whether it's illegal or not, it's a stupid thing to be doing while driving.

Exactly, it is also no worse than driving to makky d's getting a burger with a friend and driving while eating it and talking to your friend which you won't get pulled over for!

Lmao, what is so bad about it?

Some person above said no phones, yet a hands free kit is aright. The issue with phones isn't having one hand on the wheel, the issue with phones is not having 100% concentration on the road at all times. So I hope people that don't like phone drivers never have the radio on in the car and when they pick people up, the car is in silence at all times!

I also know if I needed to, I can spin the wheel a lot quicker with one palm than having two hand getting twisted amongst each other.
 
One hand on the wheel means you don't have full control of the car. Get a blow out at 60 or 70 while using one hand on the wheel and the chances are you'll be spinning to an early grave. I've nearly lost it when my car blew out a back wheel at 70 while having both hands on the wheel the back end just went loose on me and had a right fight with it.

Concentration is severly reduced while on the phone as you have to think to be able to talk back to others, Unlike a radio where noise is coming out and you dont have to think of a way to answer back to that.
