The Intel G2's are out and set the performance benchmark.
The Indilinx Barefoot was launched a year ago and changed the face of mainstream performance SSD and it responsible for Intel's massive price drops...
...but nothing genuinely new has been launched now in 6 months or so in the SSD world. Just the new Intel G2's which are essentially a tweaked G1, and countless models of the Barefoot drives from OCZ, Crucial, G.Skill etc
What's next then. Presumably a new Indilinx controller with SATA 600 must be on the cards soon? Hopefully a significant price drop to go with it as 128Gb should become the sweet spot in 2009.
