What's that good bank card for abroad use?

You should do some research yourself, they do have a comission free credit card for use overseas.

Sorry to be another one to burst your Nationwide bubble, but you also forgot to mention that to actually get this Credit card you have to open a Flex Account with them (which pays NO Interest at all - and you have to then receive their Debit card) and have a minimum of £750 a month going into it for at least 3 months ;)

Nationwide are a joke these days to be honest. I phoned them up last year to enquire about their so called "free" travel Insurance. They advertise this as something "special" & offer it to existing customers.

This "free" travel Insurance started when they decided to stop all the good card deals for foreign transactions & they then quietly introduced fees for foreign transactions using their debit card. - Previously their "No fees" foreign transaction debit card was one of their key selling points as the "Best" Building Society for Joe public years ago.

Funnily enough - their great "free" travel Insurance was only actually "free" for the account holder... and not my kids (who they quoted I would have to "upgrade" for - and this would be £34 for a week in Spain).
I ended up getting my own travel Insurance online (with better features and benefits) for about half that for the whole family.
