What's the best ATI driver at the moment?

I'm about to get this card tommorrow (Rev.2 version) and was wondering do i install the drivers that will come with the disc,or what are the latest drivers?

I've allway been nvidia before

HIS 1950 pro 512 AGP

EDIT: I will be selling my Gainward 7800GT 512 AGP (the 24 pipes version underclocked 7900)

Well as you may or may not know, ATI release official drivers every month, and usually the latest is the greatest. We are currently on Catalyst 7.4, and the download link is HERE.

There are two drivers to choose from, the top one which is the largest includes the CCC (Catalyst Control Centre) and the second, smaller driver listed on the page only includes the driver. You would only need this one if you are planning on using a third party control panel for your ATI card, such as ATI Tray Tools.

As above, the latest 7.4's will be the best as the ones that you will get with the card on the Disc will be a very old set now.

A lot of ppl just download the drivers on their own, and grab ATi Tray Tools from Guru3D also like said above to do all their AA/AF etc... settings, as that doesn't need all the .NET software like the proper Catalyst Control Centre does, and welcome to the forums also.

Doesn't the 7.4 cats break the HDR+AA support in Oblivion?

I'm still using 6.12 and everything works fine.
