Whats the best PC Mod you have played.

As per title whats the best MOD you hae played be it for FPS, RTS or MMO. I suspect the usual suspects will come up for the Source Engine but there are some very good ones out there.

My first serious clan was for BF1942 Mod Desert Combat. I loaded it up last night and boy does it look old but it's still damn good fun. Even better there is a version for BF2

So whats your fave mod and why ?

Probably have to go for Desert Combat for BF1942. Made a decent online game 10x better, well after the updates and revisions anyway, but a cracking mod.

Half Life Deathmatch pro (I think thats what it was called, the hl equiveland to rocket arena on quake, right?) and another one i enjoyed playing from time to time was Natural Selection on the original Half Life.

Moving away from FPS's i really loved the Simbin mods that came out for EA's F1 99 (or was it 98??) they were absolute quality, really need to dig out the wheel and purchase GTR2

Cant remember the exact name. But it was a major mod for Max Payne that totally changed it into the matrix!

Tactical ops v1.0-2.2 for original UT after that it wasnt a free mod ,then Desert combat for bf1942
Also the rh 03,04 and 05 series of mods for f1 challenge
Proberly was other good mods but those 3 stick out in my opinion
