Whats the best phone you have owned.

In terms of pure features, my iPhone 4.

But if you look at it fairly, as in "amazing for it's time" then i'd put a number of my phones in that list.

Siemens S55 (fantastic all round package, great to use)
Nokia N82 (camera on this is still to this day the best phone camera i've used)
IPhone 3GS (my first iPhone, and a great little device, really sold me on the Apple smartphones)

* Nokia 8210 (still have one boxed), wanted to buy a 8250 (with blue backlight) from Hong Kong but it was too expensive at the time.
* Ericsson T28 (beige)
* Nokia N82 (black - current phone)

The phones that I like I keep, the ones I don't like I sell.

SE K800i by far, I had it 5 years ago, on contract for 2 years and a mate has it now. Still working fine, very battered though :D

Would probably agree for its time tbh I had one of these nice camera with xenon flash took great pictures, I guess if you going for a phone that changed things in a big way it would be the 2g Iphone nothing was near that at its time and its down to that we have phones like this now.

I think two phones that really changed the direction of mobile phones were the Nokia 3210, it brought T9 to the masses and it showed that Nokia were on top of their game.

Iphone 2G - the original Iphone, it just changed the direction of mobile phones completely. Apple had no history with phones but they produced a revolutionary interface, capacitive screen and multi touch.

Owned them both, loved them both.

I would say this too but in context. The K800i has been by far the most reliable and predictable phone I have ever owned but it's difficult to compare with smartphones as they are so much more than a standard mobile. My Desire Z is certainly the most capable device I've ever owned and had most fun with. I'll also add that I loved my Sony Z5 around 10 years ago too.

Landmark phones for me were as follows:
3210 was fantastic; great battery life, worked brilliantly as a phone and for texting. Plus it had Snake.

Then the Blackberry 8800 Bold I was given as a work phone, for email and organising it was amazing. It only had EDGE so the net was too slow to do anything serious on it though.

Then my Motorola Dext, first android smartphone. After coming from a Nokia 5800 It was a breath of fresh air - capacitive screen, cloud synced contacts, slide out keyboard, much faster web browsing, and apps, oh the apps. The 5800 was my first phone that could do web browsing and gps acceptably for emergencies, but the Dext was my first that could do them well.
Battery life is rubbish though, but i can accept it. If I turn off all the radios and data apart from 2G mode it lasts for weeks.

My biggest step up was probably from an awful Samsung E900 to a Nokia 6220 Classic. Powerful little phone, and had an awesome camera with a proper flash. Good for emulation too. None of the 3 Android smart phones I've had since have such good cameras which was a bit disappointing.

The only thing against the 6220 was the fact it felt rubbishly made (although wasa almost mint when I sold it on after 18 months).

same

mine was abused so much that its silly and the camera is still up there with those of today

I had a K750i, which was my first camera equipped colour-screen phone after owning Nokia's. I never got on with the Sony interface personally. I did like the little joystick for games though. :)
