whats the difference between manufacturers?

hi there,

i have never really been into pc gaming, but am going to take the plunge and give it a go. due to this, i havent really spent too much on gfx cards when i upgrade, just bought something that is adequate.

so, i am now looking at the ati hd3870 cards as these seem to be a good buy at the moment, and if needed i can add more later.

obviously there are different manufacturers, all producing what appears to be the same card. what exactly is the difference between the manufacturers? what does the extra 20 or 30 quid get you?

Not a lot with ATI just the 1 or 2 year warranty - just get the cheapest one.

If it were NVIDIA your extra £££ would get you a better Rma service and upto a lifetime Warranty

just noticed that gpu and ram speeds vary slightly.

are these going to make much of a difference to the game?
