What's the job market like in the UK?

There's masses of code monkey work in banking in London at the mo. Really wish I had the banking exposure to get into it. Really nice contracting rates. Just trying to get other contracting work as a developer or build master at the mo. Getting a lot of interest in my CV but I think there is a lot of competition out there at the mo as not hearing all that much after my CV has been sent over.

Plenty jobs going in Air Traffic if you fancy it and can pass the application process. Fairly safe career too.

No job specific areas at the moment but thinking of something in London.
