Mine isn't that bad; and I've shelled out more, but relatively it was pretty pricey:

At the weekend I went for afternoon tea in London. £55 travelling expenses and price of a baby sitter and a whopping £110 for 3 'finger' sandwiches, 1 small cake and a nibble on a scone.

It was worth it though!

What for 2? Probably about a ton including drinks. In terms of total bill, probably a few hundred with larger group. Cough..expenses claim anyone? ;)

Berners taster menu with the platinum wine taster. Can't remember exact price but well over £150 each. Nice, but not really worth it. I still haven't beat La Trompette restaurant for price vs quality.

Try The Glasshouse or Chez Bruce, in the same 'chain' with the same great food for excellent prices.

Mine was over £300 for two at the River Cafe. Best meal I have ever had though, very relaxing, amazing food and the thing I still remember; the mixed leaf salad I had with some pasta, perfect crunchy lettuce and a peppery vinaigrette... heaven.

Girlfriend and I went to Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's. Total bill for 3 courses, one bottle of wine and a cocktail to start came to £210. Apart from the starter which was excellent the rest was disappointing. Nice experience though.

I would feel robbed if I spent this much on food. Probably about £12 for a brilliant steak dinner at Longhorn steakhouse in the US. This I feel is justifiable :D

I wonder what the actual cost of our food was. I fel like royalty, though. Doormen hailing cabs, opening doors, whisked to a fireside table and so on. It's all about the experience, too.

We got given 2 signed (by her grandson) copies of Agatha Christie's autobiography, too (as it was her 120th birthday anniversary). Wonder if they're worth a bit.

$250 dollars each for a sushimi meal in Las Vegas 12 courses lasted about 3 hours, most memorable meal I've ever had, was on our wedding night just me and the missus, then back to the room with hot tub and bottle of champagne, bliss

All changed now we have two screaming poop machines and a mortgage

its ridiculous in the uk we are charged a fortune for what you can get in america for really cheap.

you cant even get nice big home made steaks with home made rubs , homemade marinade , homemade everything over here even if you have the money!

when i was in america my stepson got a tbone steak for less than you would spend on a dominoes pizza!

I love good food... I guess my most damage was at the OXO. Between two of us was about 450 quid. But that had a couple of bottles of champagne in there too.

Well it was my birthday :)
