hi , wondering if anyone know the policy on returning faulty goods for rma, ive just stumped up £12.50 to return a fauty keyboard, will i get this postage costs back ?

i don't know if always the case, but usually, they'll wait till they've tested the faulty item, if it is found to be faulty, they then give the refund and or replacement etc. depends where you bought it tho, a lot of sellers on the bay state "return costs to be paid by buyer".

its from ocuk, came thursday, plugged it in and about ten or so keys refuse to work, same with the drivers installed, tested on two different pc's to check with the exact same result

its not the fact weather they replace the product or not, its weather they will pay these postage cost(that i have paid) to return a faulty item to them

I thought that usually you have to request the company to send a courier to collect, it would probably be a lot cheaper for them than the 12.50 you've just paid - not sure if they'll refund you.

I *think* that the retailer should say "we'll be sending our courier round to collect it, what time would be convenient?" if they're wanting it to be payed for directly by themselves when your raise the RMA ticket and are given the code to put on the box.

Otherwise you pay for it to be returned, and once they've fault tested the item and gone "Yep sir, it is faulty. Do you want a replacement item or a refund" you can go "here's proof that the return postage cost me £12.50" and they’ll either refund you that or add it to your refund.

There is some protection for the retailer however that protects against you sending back your USB Memory Stick with a service that’s carried by virgin carrier pigeons costing £9999.

Thats it? Nothing on where in germany and signature etc?

When did you send it if you don't mind my asking? (and when did it say it reached germany?)

Sent it with RM and this is what it says

Your item, posted on 21/11/09 with reference *********** was delivered in GERMANY on 25/11/09.

No signature so i don't know if it's there EVGA haven't said anything :(

Yea, I sent it RM as well on 18th. So hopefully it must have reached by now since yours took only 4 days. Maybe I should contact EVGA and see if they've received it. Be a right pain if they haven't >_<

If the product is DOA (Dead On Arrival) then you have 7 days in which to inform the supplier and they 'ARE' legally responsible for covering return postage.
Most decent suppliers will actually arrange to pick up the DOA faulty product.
Some not so decent company's will try and wriggle out of this responsibility!!

Just got back the RMA with no e-mail from EVGA at any point and VERY annoyed at EVGA.

They sent it back as is, saying taht the product is out of the warranty period and not registered so they're just sending it back.

Now this was the case, but I made this very clear to the guy I was talking to at EVGA about the problem (via e-mail. so records are all there) and asked if he could help me out since I had to RMA 2 cards, both of which I got through the EVGA step up at the same, but just registered one and not the other. I told him all this, and after that he sent me the RMA procedure, so obviously I thought it's all good. And now this.

So damn annoyed at them. I've just wasted postage costs and wasted 2 weeks because they couldn't communicate with each other? wth?
