Whats the significance of a suntan?

Your excused.

Point?

You said racism is caused by being too brown, which is a very odd thing to say. Racism is caused by people being hateful intolerant ****heads.

Perhaps you meant to say racism is often directed towards people with brown skin, which would be fair enough. But the way your worded it, you were basically blaming brown people for being brown, and thus bringing the racism upon themselves. See the problem?

Point? You ascribing racism to be caused by 'being too brown' which is a) in itself a potentially racist remark and b) simply ludicrous.

I am just stating a fact, most people judge with their eyes first, just like they eat with their eyes first. What i said is not incorrect to a large degree, people observe and judge.

I've always thought it to be pathetic and I stay out of the sun as much as I can even though I tan very easily.
In a couple of weeks I'll be on holiday in the sun and I will be sitting by the pool for some of the day but the first thing I always acquire is an umbrella.

Buy a Porta-fridge and put your head in it.

Tanning is seen as good nowadays because celebrities are tanned, but that's a spin off of it being good to be tanned because it shows you can afford to travel abroad and holiday.

In days of yonder, as has been said, a tan was seen as bad because it meant you were a peasant and worked outside rather than being able to stay inside.

In Asian countries many women want to be whiter and you'll struggle to find a tanning moisturiser for example, and instead you'll find bleaching ones. This is essentially because they want to look more like Western celebrities and also the same as our yonder years (ie a tan means you work outdoors in manual labour).

It also relates to the caste system, as a general rule lower caste people in India tend to have darker skin. This is not due to different amount of time
spent outdoors, different castes can considered different ethnic groups in the European sense as there will be 0% genetic crossover between a Brahmin and a Dalit for example.

It's funny because people from the middle east/asia aim to be whiter while white people always aim to be darker XD

Stupid people.

On holiday I saw the most tanned man in the world, I wanted to take a picture of the guy but couldn't slyly enough. I can't even put into works how ridiculous this guy looked.

Some people forget there is a limit at which point you go from looking great to absurd.

Example...

A tan is skin damage and TBH Ive never found it attractive at all. I just dont see the big deal. Yet I have friends who EasyJet it to <<insert name of an overcrowded Spanish resort here>> to cook themselves near hotel pools. To each their own I guess.

Love the pale-skin look on women :D
