lo0oks like an adapter to me, wide end has SATA Data and power on it, going down to the motherboard for the data and to a molex for power

Western Digitals secure adaptor or similar thing by the look of it. Aparently made for those who like to pull on wires (less chance of breaking HDDs connectors)
