on some of the big army DROPS trucks there's a mirror so you can see down by the driver's door - but I've never seen anything with a mirror to see the blindspot right infront of you.

That "Mirror" to see down by the drivers door is now on all HGV's and has been for the last 10 or so years. By law I believe
