When are the RTX 3090 reviews out

Problem is with the leaked benchmarks so far is that at stock the 3090 seems 20% faster but compared with the better overclocking 3080s its only 10% faster.

Even worse if that compared to a 2080ti the 3090 is only 35% faster but compared to the much better overclocking 2080ti then its only 17%

£1500 to £1800 for a card which is only 17% faster than the overpriced 2080ti?

Death Stranding and Wolfenstein: Youngblood both say hello.

It's because TAA causes so many image quality issues.
Wow, two titles. Lol.

Also there are other issues that come with DLSS such as flickering of shadows in Control and issues with the rain in Death Stranding from what I have seen online. I am sure it will continue to improve and I am looking forward to getting my hands on my 3080 pre-order when it eventually comes, but Nvidia really need to work on getting it in a lot more games. In over two years they got in a handful of titles and most of those were the rubbish DLSS 1.0 implementation, yet some people talk about it like it is available for all games.

Are you trying to make yourself feel better for spending £2400 on 2080Ti GPU's? :)

lol no. Luckily I only paid £1500 for both with waterblocks 18 months ago as I was sensible and waited until I saw a good second hand deal. When SLI is supported they will outperform a 3090. When they dont, they arent going to be far behind,

Hence why I was hoping for a clearl gap of around 50% over a 2080ti and then if I swap them, I would be 50% faster in all the games which dont support SLI and only 20% slower in the games that did (which are very few now). i could have lived with that.

And it just bring home the point that we have the 3090 which is 30% mnore expensinve than the overpriced 2080ti and only offers 17% more performance.

I just expected more two years on and after the Nvidia launch with claims that this was the biggest generational leap. It isnt a patch on a 8800GTX.

Also strange to show the box and not the GPU...something a bit weird about that video.

Not sure but looking at the box and looking at the stock images on the OC shop there's a small image to the left of 24GB missing some sort of RBG logo or image. That is unless the stock images have changed since they received them.

These benchmarks are showing us absolutely nothing in real world uses though. You've read the reviews I am assuming and know that the 3080 is anything up to 43% faster than a 2080ti at 4k (using the Hardware Unboxed results). If you add another 10-20% to that then it seems pretty clear that the 3090 is probably not going to be only 17% faster than even a OC 2080ti game dependant. Looking at the HU review of the 2080ti Gaming X Trio from 2 years ago with an overclock it was roughly 10% faster on average than a FE in actual games.

I guess if you never plan on playing any of the games where it excels or don't think overclocking or drivers may help in the future...

Its not though,. Even if you use the Hardware Unboxed results and then look at what a fairly good 2080ti overclocked gets and the fact the 3080 are already pretty much at their max out of the box and overclocking gets you 4% at best then the gap closes to a 3080 being less than 20% faster unless you ran your 2080ti at stock?

The way Nvidia has done the cards and and comparisons shines the 3080 in a much better light than it really is.

At stock clocks the 3080 is about 33% faster on average at 4k than a 2080ti. Overclocked on both cards its only 15-20%.

All indicators so far seem to be the 3090 dont clock even as well as the 3080 (probably 100% power limited out of the box) so I can honestly see them being only 10% faster than an overclocked 3080.

I am buying one as I need hmdi 2.1 but I am disappointed that I am not going to see much gains in a lot of gains and some quite substantial drops in things like witcher 3, ROTTR and Strange Brigade where SLI works well.

I had hoped that a 3090 would have matched 2080ti in SLI.

Maybe it is expectations then. I never thought a 3090 would get anywhere near 2080ti SLI in games where it works. Has a Titan ever done that from the gen before? Also, and maybe this is my mistake, but overall averages make little sense to me in gaming. If one game I am playing gains 10%, another gains 25% and another 40% then that's a big win. You never get equal gains across all games. What about 3080SLI? :D Or is that not a thing?
