I would normally agree with you but every time I get into the car after my GF she has changed all the temps and which vents are active.................grrrrr. Shame there wasnt a memory setting like the electric seats.
On the Model 3 the temperature is linked to your profile just like the seats.

The amount of times Ive told my wife that she doesnt need to do that with climate is unreal. After many years, she still cranks the temp controls up and down, she just wont be told
The dual zone climate is apparently one of the things my wife misses from her old car... which is funny because it always seemed to be set at either 16C or 26C anytime I ever got in it!

Maybe, just maybe, if you're coming in from the hot/cold you might want 5-10 mins at min/max temp before reducing/increasing to a steady norm state.

If your car is below the set point and you have a 2kW heater it’s going to warm to set point at max power. There’s no magic ‘overboost’ etc.

Does anyone have any experience with a juice booster?
I ask as I'm looking to get a plug-in hybrid to replace my diesel A6 and therefore will need to charge 2 cars from the same socket and want to speed the process up.

I currently charge my i3 overnight from a 20A circuit wall socket in the garage. I use the Maximum setting if it's empty and that will draw around 12A, which is under 3kW, otherwise it's normally on the Reduced setting which draws ~9A.

If I get a Juice Booster, what sort of charge power will it produce on 12A? 7kW?

It’s just a portable EVSE at the end of the day.

Will the juice booster draw more than 10-12A? It comes with the temperature sensor that will turn off it if gets too hot, etc.

Isn’t this product designed to be plugged into standard sockets to speed up granny charging, etc.?

I have no idea what an EVSE is.

We can only really comment on U.K. electrical systems.

You’d probably be better off asking somewhere more local to you.

An EVSE is the box that sits between the car and the plug/power supply. Basically a big fancy switch and some electronics that enable the car to charge at the correct rate.

Pretend I’m in the UK. Would you recommend using a juice booster from a standard wall socket/granny charger/ 3 pin plug. Would it draw more than 12A?
What speeds would you see? 5kW? 7kW?

Maybe I'm completely confused by what you're asking but I don't see how something like that is going to allow you to pull 7kW from a 13A 230v socket.

If you want 7kW charging from a single phase 230v source, you're going to need a 32A capable socket surely?

It won't give you any more power from a normal outlet than a regular granny charger would. The only benefit is that you can swap ends (like the Tesla mobile connector) to connect it to higher power outlets but I doubt you'd have one in your house unless it's specially installed.

It can't magic extra power up from nothing!

You need to get a proper EVSE installed if you want faster charging.

I’m not sure applying U.K. electrical regulations to other countries is relevant.

From a standard U.K. domestic socket, it will be limited to 10A at 240V.

There are more specialist high powered sockets that I mentioned. The maximum you can do is 32A from a commando socket on a dedicated circuit.

I think the point of the juice booster is that you can plug it into anything via a load of adapter cables and it will draw the appropriate power from that socket. The Tesla mobile connector (evse) also has that party trick. If you connected it to a commando socket it could pull 32A.

Juice booster you cans set the output from what I’ve seen and a military style bayonet connection lead to change depending what you plug into.

EVSE - Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. The charger is in the car for AC supplies.
