I wet it with just enough force to push the paste back into the bristles. and then brush, Sometimes however this fails, and i have to reload the brush and try again

I wet the bristles first with cold water then add the toothpaste and brush teeth.

I do that. Girlfriend does it the other way around - water then toothpaste.

My dentist told me there is enough water in the paste and water isn't required, therefore I stopped putting it under the tap and losing half of it. You also only need a pea sided amount, not "how much paste can I fit on this brush?!"

wet brush - apply toothpaste - sometimes wet it again sometimes I don't - clean teeth - rinse brush - dry the handle - done

Boyfriend doesn't put water on his at all. Weird.

Brush is wet anyway as I'm in the shower normally, but I've never run it under water before sticking it in my gob??!

I dont as the OP does it...but i wet my toothbrush then put toothpaste on it then if i can be bothered ill run it under the tap then start to brush my teeth.

and throughout the entire time I leave the tap running, probably waste about 10 litres while doing it lol

Surely you don't need your dentist to tell you there is enough water in the paste itself. Do what you want to do, the result is the same. I personally prefere to run water over the paste after I've applied it, it feels nicer. I also can't believe I'm discussing this! GD!
