Where are you going on holiday this year?

I am going on an immense train trip, having managed to get a fair amount of time of work. I will be travelling from london to Iran. It involves a mamouth 70 hour train ride across Turkey from istanbul to Tehran.
I cannot wait!

Sounds fantastic - I'd love to do a proper long distance rail journey like that, there's something very cool about chugging along on a long leisurely train ride across distant lands that I can't quite put my finger on.

We are being conventional this year and going to Cyprus with some good friends

Main holiday this year is St Petersburgh by ship from Southampton. We did the Indian-Pacific rail trip across Australia (Perth to Sydeney) a few years ago, it was great! Enjoy your trip

We're going to the South of France with Iain's parents and their friends. 10 of us altogether sharing a huge villa

The wife and I are taking 3 weeks and hitting EVERY destination we can think of in Western US. Figure it will be about 7700 miles total.

planning my 30th, very tempted to do NY, Vegas and Hawaii, would couple it with celebrating 5th anniversary. already been to NY this year as well.

Holidays this year (not counting the 4 i've had already

): Italy this month, Cuba in May, Marrakech in June, Sweden in August & India in October.

Business trips this year (part holidays): Turkey in May, LA in July, Czech Republic in September & hopefully Thailand in October.
