hi, i have been looking on OC's web site and there is only one antenna that is over £100, can anyone tell me another shop that sells antenna's in the stoke-on-trent area, im after a high gain directional antenna for on my desktop about 6db boost or more.

Any info would be a great help :)

can't tell you where to buy one due to the competetion rules here, but you could make your own. Loads of good guides around

will OC's mind if you post up info for another shop that is selling antenna's ? they should have more in stock if they dont like people asking about other places that have more of a choice to select from.....

anyways thanks for the reply ;)

yes they will mind because its their business, would you want a forum where people recommend other sites

Thats very true, but recommending another shop if they dont have the part you are after in not a problem, it would be a problem if i was saying hey this shop is selling lets say the same network card for £10 cheaper.

but even that should not be a problem, i mean if they are charging over the odds on parts, then why pay extra if its cheaper some place else ?, its all about have a forum that tells the truth and a forum that is edited everyday removing bad comments and hidding things they should be improving on....

they need more of a choice to select from for antenna's take a look.

and we will see now if i get banned from the site for having my say, that again will show me what the site is and shop memebers are like.. :)

Ocuk specialises in most computer parts but not a great deal in networking, its not up to them to sell vast amounts of aerials, you could even make your own using internet guides.

No idea about stores in the Stoke-on-Trent area, but a Google for "wireless indoor antennas" should throw up some good results. For a 6dBi directional antenna you're probably looking at about £30 :)

You won't, but you won't change the rules either. On the other hand, openly criticising the rules, the shop, and/or forum moderators won't do your account any favours.
