Where can i buy brake fluid from?

My rear break is leaking brake fluid and i need to top it up as a stop gap. I have looked at halfords online and they don't have any, would they have any in the shop? Otherwise do i have to go to a garage?

Halfords do Dot 5.1 for just under £10 a litre, good price imho.

leaking brake fluid and you're going to drive this car on the road? I'd hate to be you when the brakes fail and you kill an innocent family :/

Not really. Also bear in mind that brake fluid is flammable iirc. My car pulled hard to the left under heavy braking, I took it off the road until I found the problem. Brakes are the most important part of a car's functionality IMO.

Brakes are a very high pressure system, so any leak, even minor, is an immediate cause for concern and a car shouldn't be driven as such.

You can pretty much assume from that that he'll still be driving the car.

Yeah i wouldn't drive that car for ****. I'm sure it'd be the worst feeling in the world to find you're coming up to a roundabout and you're brakes are doing nothing when you stomp on the pedal :-|

Well being Dual Circuit thats not really going to be an issue for a short trip to Halfords!

SO you've got 1 rear brake that isn't working properly, so the other side will bite a lot harder - increasing the chances of spinning the car, plus the brake fluid that is leaking is flammable. 1 small spark could set it off.

Umm, No, the PSi to the other brakes remains the same, the excess fluid will either leak out or return to the MS and resevoir, and its a rear brake so it plays a small part in braking anyway (unless its a BMW!)

I meant in comparison to the brake which is leaking fluid
